Reading old things

Reading old things,
there are verses that evoke
such a strong feeling
but I don’t recall who
the inspiration was.

And a few pages later,
your name appears,
a sudden passion
that left before blooming
and which still fills me with sweetness
even though I have no desire
to see you again.

I hope that chocolate bar
sweetened your afternoons
for a few weeks after
our messages faded
into oblivion.

And I hope that note
I left you
reminds you of that shared delirium
and how incredible it is to live,
and how some people
leave their mark forever
even if they never meet again.
